DEDICATED TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE
The Human Services Department is compassionate about and dedicated in the work we do. Our mission is to strengthen our diverse community by protecting the vulnerable, promoting self-sufficiency, alleviating poverty and improving the quality of life for all county residents. The safety net services we provide are critically important to ensuring that the basic needs of Santa Cruz County residents are met. That said, we know there is more work to do, as the most vulnerable in our community still have unmet needs.
Together with our community partners, we will continue to work hard to develop innovative strategies that uplift those most in need in our community. We remain committed to connecting people to employment opportunities and economic supports, improving access to health, well-being and housing, and providing safety and care for those suffering from abuse or neglect.
