Supportive Services

Our supportive services team includes a Resource Family Approval unit and a Family Finding unit. Our Family Finding unit works to identify and engage relatives of children and youth in the child welfare system, for placement options that ensure youth maintain family connections throughout their dependency. We also work to locate parents whose whereabouts are unknown.

Our Resource Family Approval unit guides prospective caregivers through the foster care approval process, allowing youth to be placed in a family home setting. We assist in identifying placements that best support each youth’s needs while in out of home care, and provide children and families with a voice in the child welfare decision-making process while helping them build a support system.
