How do I become a Kinship Caregiver?
The first step in becoming a kinship caregiver is to attend an orientation meeting. The orientation provides you with an overview of the child welfare system and gives you a chance to have your questions answered by child welfare staff. Active foster and adoptive parents will also be available to respond to questions. Application packets are distributed at the orientation meetings.
