The Santa Cruz County Workforce Development Board (WDB) brings together the business and education communities, local government, and residents of Santa Cruz County to:
- Identify local and regional workforce issues and create practical solutions;
- Keep its finger on the pulse of changes in occupations and the local and regional labor markets;
- Responsibly manage the employment services funded by the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act, to train and deploy workers, retrain employees who have been laid off and help all workers gain the skills they need to enter and prosper in the labor market.
