The Workforce Investment Board (WIB) of Santa Cruz County brings together the business and education communities, local government, and residents of Santa Cruz County to:
Identify local and regional workforce issues and create practical solutions;
Keep its finger on the pulse of changes in occupations and the local and regional labor markets;
Manage Employment Services
Responsibly manage the employment services funded by the federal Workforce Investment Act, to train and deploy workers, retrain employees who have been laid off and help all workers gain the skills they need to enter and prosper in the labor market.
About the WIB Board of Directors
Comprised of local business leaders, educational leaders, elected officials, and community based organization leaders, the WIB oversees the services of Workforce Santa Cruz County. The WIB is dedicated to help Santa Cruz jobseekers access the tools they need to manage their careers and to help local employers find the skilled workers they need to compete and succeed.
