What are Medi-Cal Health Benefits?
Medi-Cal is a public health insurance program which provides health care services to low-income individuals including families with children, seniors (65 or older), persons with disabilities, children in foster care, pregnant women, and low income people with specific diseases such as tuberculosis, breast cancer or HIV/AIDS. Medical services are provided to eligible individuals and families and the cost to you depends on your income. Immediate need services are available in emergency situations for eligible individuals.
Central Coast Alliance for Health, the Medi-Cal managed care health plan for Santa Cruz County, helps eligible individuals and families obtain health care from a participating provider.
