Veterans Services Office

The Veterans Service Office is a State and County funded agency, established in 1946 to assist veterans, military retirees, and their families in obtaining benefits and services accrued through military service.

Our Mandate

“The County Veteran Services Officer shall assist every Veteran of any war of the United States, and the dependents of every deceased Veteran, in presenting and pursuing any claim the Veteran may have against the United States, and in establishing the Veterans right to any privilege, preference, care or compensation provided for by the laws of the United States, or of this State.” - Military & Veterans Code of The State of California.

New Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Regulation

Post Traumatic Stress is a normal set of reactions to a trauma such as war, which could be experienced by almost anyone.  Recently, Congress amended the regulations affecting some PTSD claims.  More information.
